Make a festival offer poster

Lesson 3 of 55 min read1 task · 3 questions

Let the AI write the picture prompt and the offer text. You put the words on the picture.

The idea

A festival poster has two parts: the picture and the words. Make them separately. Image tools often spell words wrongly, so ask for a picture with no text at all.

Ask the chatbot for both in one go: an image prompt that leaves empty space for text, and the short poster text. Paste the image prompt into a free image tool. Free image tools exist inside several chatbots.

Then open a free editor such as Canva free. Add the picture and type the poster text on top yourself. Keep it short: the offer, the dates, the shop name and how to order. People look at a poster for only a few seconds.

Use only your own shop name and logo. Do not copy another brand's design. Do not use photos of real people without their permission.

Your task

Make a Diwali offer poster for a sweet shop

This example is a Diwali offer for a sweet shop in Indore. For Eid, Pongal or another festival, change the festival, the picture and the offer.

Your slip: copy-paste prompt
Role: You help small Indian shops make festival posters.
Task: Give me two things.
1) An image prompt for a free image tool. Square picture for a Diwali sweets offer: a brass plate of mixed Indian sweets, small diyas, marigold flowers, warm golden light. Leave the top third empty for text. Avoid: any text, letters, numbers, logos or people.
2) Poster text that I will add myself in Canva. Shop: Gupta Mithai, Indore. Offer: 10% off all sweet boxes, 1 Nov to 10 Nov. Orders on WhatsApp: [your number].
Format: Poster text in 4 short lines, max 6 words each. Simple English.

What you should get

A real example of a good result. Your wording will differ a little. The shape and the facts should match.

The top third of the image is plain, dark and empty, ready for text. Avoid: any text, letters, numbers, logos or people.
