Turn messy meeting notes into an action list

Lesson 2 of 55 min read1 task · 3 questions

Paste the notes. Get owners, tasks and dates in a table.

The idea

After a meeting, notes are usually a mess of half sentences. The real value is the list of who does what by when. AI is very good at pulling this out.

Tell the AI what to do when something is missing, for example "if no owner is named, write Unassigned". Otherwise it may guess. A guessed owner is worse than a blank one.

Send the table to the group the same day. People forget decisions fast. A clear list stops follow-up calls.

Your task

Make an action table from rough notes

Here are sample notes. Replace them with real ones when you are ready, after removing private details.

Your slip: copy-paste prompt
Turn these meeting notes into an action table.

Notes:
"Team sync, Monday. Priya will update the leave tracker by Wednesday. We agreed to move the monthly review to the 28th. Someone should book the meeting room for the review. Arjun to share the new template, he said Friday. Budget for training still not decided, discuss next week."

Output format:
1. A table with columns: Task, Owner, Due date.
2. If no owner is named, write Unassigned. If no date is named, write Not set. Do not guess.
3. Then a list called "Decisions" and a list called "Open questions".

What you should get

A real example of a good result. Your wording will differ a little. The shape and the facts should match.
